    The computer looks up the local dns cache of the computer before going to the dns of your isp.

    What if attacker has spoofed ip and made the server ip as his source IP and send it to the same server..?? In short both source IP of client is spoofed as same destination server IP is same..

    Didn't get the question of why MAC address is required, if we have IP address to identify a machine in the network?

      The main difference between MAC and IP address is that, MAC Address is used to ensure the physical address of computer. It uniquely identifies the devices on a network. While IP address are used to uniquely identifies the connection of network with that device take part in a network.

    Y ping sends 4 packets ?

      Windows sends 4 by default. You can change it to whatever number you like with the the "-n" argument.
